In 1976,
wisely seeing the limited options available in the downtown area of Sacramento,
Grady moved the business to industrial West Sacramento, in neighboring
Yolo County.
A 7200 square foot building was built to house the growing inventory.
Grady spent most of his time on the road, as he had since the beginning,
and CCB continued to develop it's customer base. Product lines were added
on a regular basis, and the crew worked hard to expand it's knowledge
of brake and clutch systems, and it's ability to troubleshoot problems
for customers. In 1983, a new building was added on to the original West
Sacramento structure, giving CCB almost 15,000 square feet of usable space.
When it's next door neighbor decided to move on in 1986, that building
and property were purchased, an addition was made to that building, and
the result was a 30,000 square feet facility.
